love Peter Bregman’s views on how to weather this recessionary storm. I’ve been asking myself deeper questions: What do I truly love? What makes me shine? What do I want my life to “stand for”? How do I want to affect the communities I am part of? I agree with Peter that this is a good opportunity for re-evaluating and re-connecting with dreams that have perhaps been sacrificed for financial security. As we all know (if we didn’t before), there is no such thing. Yes, if you or your spouse has been through a layoff, it’s important to get back in the workforce and make a living with the skills you’ve honed over the years. But on the threshold, as you look, why not look deeper? What you find may make life a lot simpler after all.
