Twitter is shelving the AutoFollow feature which means we can all breathe an “Auto-Sigh” of relief. I think the auto-follow undermined the personalization of follower to follower authentic tweet-chat upon connecting. So it’s great to hear that Biz Stone has determined it will be no longer.
Hey, just fyi, you know why it’s good to work with a digital strategist who was a ten year technology, ebusiness, emarketing journalist? Because I’m still an Austin, TX geeky girl at heart (married to a kids’ musician by night and elementary school teacher by day -same guy.) And here I sit , in the middle of the night finding out what all the tech news is so you dear readers can have it the moment you wake and click to Twitter!
And you know why it’s good to have a digital strategist ,who in her previous incarnation was a celebrity, music, arts and entertainment journalist? Because it’s fun to hear stories about Willie Nelson, Christopher Guest, Vince Vaughan and Jon Favreau (who were wonderful), Salman Rushdie (good tea), Erica Jong, Jamie Foxx, Buzz Aldrin, Luke Wilson, Amy Poehler, Jimmy Kimmel (hilarious), Frances McDormand (brilliant interviewee) from Nettie who had a great time interviewing them and almost everyone from Comedy Central in its heyday. Nettie only tells those stories to her clients though!:>)
Ben Stein gave me the best writing advice anyone has ever given me. That was years ago when I interviewed him for his game show that he did with Jimmy Kimmel on Comedy Central.
